1. single machine

Note: Only use one UPS to carry all of the loads.

Advantages: low cost

Disadvantages: No redundancy design, apply for uninterrupted power supply system with low requirements.




2. hot backup in series

Description: using UPS of two single machines to run series operation, i.e. using one as the host, the other input receiving the host of the bypass, as a backup machine.

Advantages: the price of single machine system is generally lower than that of parallel machine system. The overall cost of the configuration is lower than that of shorter delay time.

Disadvantages: only one UPS system to bear all the load of work when the other on standby, out of battery maintenance considerations, it needs regular exchange of 2 sets of hand-UPS connection. The long delay system with two sets of batteries will bear the relatively high cost




3. parallel redundant

Description: The parallel operation of two or more UPS which share the load average with each connected to a separate battery pack.

Advantages: the system can provide the most stable and reliable power supply. Bypass system with distributed, and multiple independent UPS is the most stable and reliable way of redundancy.

Disadvantages: As per UPS with a separate battery pack, the cost would be high.



4. parallel connection to share a set of batteries

Description: In and machine based on two or more share a UPS battery.

Advantage: It has all the advantages of the system and the machine, and because two or more share a group of UPS batteries, can save some costs.

Disadvantages: reliability is slightly lower than the former program.




5. modular UPS

UPS adopts advanced modular design which UPS modules can be installed within a rack, and each UPS module is a fully functional UPS, and through advanced parallel machines and means of communication, the average share of the load of each module can completely realize random combination, hot swap and other capabilities which is in easy maintenance and replacement, and can facilitate the achievement of N + X redundancy.
