Generally, AC power supply (such as UPS) receive input power and supply for the load, if the hot and neutral supply for the load do not have the actual physical connection to the hot and neutral in the input terminal ,then this AC power supply can provide electrical isolation. the advantage of electrical isolation is that when the input power supply has an accident, it will not directly affect the electrical equipment across the load .
